GENERAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Can I visit?

Sure! We’d love to have you stop by. We’re open 7 to 7 every day. We only ask that you not drop by between 12 and 1:30, because the dogs are napping.

What does my dog need to attend?

Your dog should be over 12 weeks (younger puppies may be considered on a limited basis), be healthy, and be up to date on all vaccinations. DHPP, rabies, Bordatella, and a clear fecal exam are required, and we must have a copy of your dog’s vaccination record. Tick/flea prevention medications are requested. If your dog is over 7 months, he or she must be neutered or spayed. We also need to meet you and your dog to ensure that group play is the right thing for your pet.

Could my dog get injured?

Unfortunately, this does happen. Just as children scrape their knees on the playground, dogs can get minor scrapes and scratches while in Daycare. Supervision and separation helps to prevent serious injuries. Dogs new to Daycare sometimes hurt the pads on their paws because they are used to walking on carpet and grass, not running on rubber flooring. Most dogs will adjust to the floor in about a week.

What are the pickup/dropoff rules?

Drop-off is between 7 and 10 AM. Early drop-off can be arranged. Daycare dogs must be picked up before 7PM, late pickups are charged for overnight. Boarding dogs must be picked up by 9AM or charges for Daycare will incur.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Daycare and boarding customers should give 24 hours notice.

My dog sleeps after getting home. Is this normal?

Yes, especially if your dog is unused to Daycare.

What do I do when I pickup/dropoff my dog?

We will check your dog in and take any special instructions regarding medication and food. For pick-up, we will return your dog and any toys, bedding, leashes, and excess food you may have brought.

Who can pick up my dog?

Only you and those you have designated may pick up your dog.

Is my dog trained while he/she is there?

If your dog is with us for Day School or Boarding School, or you have requested and scheduled training, yes.

Will my dog forget housetraining?

No. Your dog will be able to tell the difference between your home and the facility, even if he or she has accidents while here. Also, our daycare and boarding dogs have an outdoor area to potty and play in.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ABOUT OUR SHUTTLE SERVICE

What is the shuttle?

The shuttle picks up and drops off your dog, provided you live within approximately 30 minutes of our facility. Shuttles must be scheduled.

Where does it pick up?

It picks up your dog at your house. If you are more than 30 minutes away, call to see if there is a mutually agreeable place within our radius.

When does it pick up and drop off?

Pick up is usually between 8 and 9AM, drop off between 4 and 6PM, depending on traffic and the number of dogs taking the shuttle.

How much does it cost?

The shuttle costs $10 each way. If you are doing Daycare, consider our Premium Package for cheaper prices.

Do I have to use the shuttle?

No, it is a service. Shuttle service is available to our daycare, boarding, training, grooming, and retail clients.

Do I have to be home to have my dog picked up or dropped off?

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ABOUT OUR DOGGIE DAYCARE SERVICES

What is Daycare?

Doggie Daycare allows your dog to play with others in an open environment with other dogs. Instead of being placed in a crate all day, your dog can relax and join other dogs in play.

How much does Daycare cost?

We have two packages, one without shuttle (Regular) and one including shuttle (Premium). See our Daycare page for packages.

How old does my dog have to be?

We accept dogs over 12 weeks, with younger pups considered on a limited basis.

Do you accept older dogs?

Yes, on a case by case basis.

How can my dog attend Daycare?

We will do an evaluation of your dog to determine if your dog will be able to attend Daycare. If your dog is aggressive, possessive, or extremely shy or fearful, he or she may not be allowed.

Do you offer half-day Daycare?

Yes, but we only run the shuttle in the morning and the evening. You must pick up or drop-off your dog at 1pm.

How do the packages work?

Purchases are made up front. The prices are per day, per dog, and the packages are good for six months. Dogs must live at the same address to qualify for multiple dog discounts. See our Daycare and Boarding page for prices.

Will my little dog be safe?

Yes. Small dogs are kept in their own area.

My little dog does fine with my large dog. Can he/she play with the larger dogs?

Maybe. Play will be watched closely. If the other dogs are not rough players, your little dog might be able to play with them under supervision.
