"Because of medical complications Lou Lou went deaf at age 5. None of us dealt with it well as we no longer new how to communicate and she started having anxiety attacks. Janet and her team completely changed this around. They were professional, treated Lou Lou as one of their one, and most importantly helped her to become comfortable with her deafness and relearn how to communicate with others. The folks at Potomac Dog School are professional, knowledgeable and care immensely about dogs. There are a limited number of people that Lou Lou and I trust unconditionally with her care....Janet and her School are at the top of the list."–

" Potomac Dog School taught each family member (ages 8 to 44)
to work successfully with our dog Jack. Jack is happier knowing
his boundaries and receiving praise for his terrific training, and
we all enjoy him even more. Before Janet arrived we knew Jack was
smart and believed he was the most wonderful dog ever created. Now
we know he is ready for Harvard and love him even more!" –

"Janet was so wonderful with our feisty
poodle named André. We got him as a puppy for Christmas
and he was just the cutest thing we ever saw. Then all of a
sudden we realized he had a mind of his own. He was pulling,
jumping on furniture, begging at the table and more. After the
intense 2-week session with Janet we were delivered a completely
new dog. It was a complete and pleasant surprise. Just in time
too… my daughter was expecting my first grandchild and
we couldn’t have a disobedient dog with a new baby around.
I am happy to note that grandchild and André are the
best of friends. Thank you Janet!"–

"We consulted Janet when we had behavioral problems with our
two dogs. Not only was Janet immensely professional and knowledgeable
about dog (and where necessary, human!) behavior modification, she
was thoroughly enjoyable to work with. I would recommend her services
to anyone." – E. Mathys
| Notably good service experience; very dependable;
always there for additional help; great value! The weekly classes
are very helpful and enjoyable. Janet is easy to work with and
has a unique way with dogs-big, small and in-between.

Both you and your dog will enjoy PDS. Janet is extremely knowledgeable
and a great teacher. When I started with PDS, I could not take my
chow mix out in public for fear that he would be too aggressive
with other dogs and people he did not know. Janet taught me how
to work with my dog and he is now extremely well-behaved companion.
I appreciated Janet’s knowledge, her gentle touch with my
dog, and her reliability. After a series of one-on-one lessons,
we now attend her weekly group classes. They are lots of fun and
keep both owners and dogs’ skills sharpened. If you have a
particular problem with your dog, Janet will work with you to solve
it. I wish PDS had been around when my dog was a pup but it’s
never too late to learn. I highly recommend PDS for dogs of all
ages.– D. Trunzo
| Bevakasha! I am Liora. My name means "God's
light to me" in Hebrew. I'm now my mom's light because
I'm a well-behaved kelev (hund, hound simply stated, I'm a wonder-dog).
Janet at Potomac Dog School met me shortly after my arrival
to America from the Israeli/Lebanese war. What I lacked in confidence
and good manners, Janet helped me gain through her training.
She was kind and understanding. Within two weeks I was sitting
and walking proudly on the streets of DC strutting my stuff.
My mom says I need to learn to stop eating from the table but
what Potomac Dog School doesn't know won't hurt them. Seriously,
I give Potomac Dog School a five paw rating on their training.
Now we're all saying "L'Chaim"! – Liora

Dear Potomac Dog School,
I am writing to thank you for teaching my brother, Wally, how to behave. My parents bought me for him to have a friend to play with, but Wally was very upset when they brought me home to him. I tried pulling at his ears to get him to play with me...I tried to eat with him...I tried playing with his toys....I even tried to sleep on his bed with him, but for some reason Wally didn't like me. No matter what I did, he would bite me and pin me to the ground until my mom made him let go. There were a couple of close calls where I didn't think I was going to make it. My mom would get so upset with us! I overheard her tell dad that she was going to have to send one of us back if we didn't start behaving. I tried so hard to behave, but Wally didn't listen to a thing mom said.
I was so excited when you came to our house to talk to Wally. He was out of control before you came. I couldn't believe how well he listened to you. He was like a different dog after only one hour. He still didn't want to play with me, but he sure did listen to mom and dad. I still don't know why you made ME wear one of those special collars though....I didn't do anything wrong !@#!#!! Any how, thanks to you, Wally likes me now. We play ball together, we eat together, we walk together, we swim together and Wally even lets me sleep with him now. Lucky for Wally...mom called you...it would have been very lonely here without him!
With love and gratitude,
Deacon |
