At Potomac Dog School we offer a variety of obedience dog training programs for dogs of all ages. Whether you’ve recently acquired an adult dog or puppy or need to fix a "behavior problem" with your current dog, the time is now and we can help.
We also help you sort out: whether or not to get a new or used dog (“green dog” as we say here), what breed, male or female, etc. We also feel it is very important to sit down and meet each other, so we better know what is the appropriate next step for your dog, you and our school. You will also find we are strong believers in continuing education for ourselves as well as our four legged friends; which is why we offer lifetime support and a lifetime group class to so many of our programs.
All programs are fully customizable to fit your dog training needs. Call now and ask about our free evaluation and lifetime group classes!
Below is a sampling of our services:

A comprehensive puppy training class with group, socialization, and private elements, Darwin’s Class includes one (1) private consult, four (4) group classes, and eight (8) socialization sessions. The hour long private consult will cover potty training and issues related to the individual pup. The group classes meet for an hour on Saturdays at and cover various important puppy topics including: handling and desensitizing your puppy, confidence building through pre-agility obstacle courses, dog safety, pet health, grooming tips, and basic training information. The socialization sessions, also know as ““Einstein's Class,” are two hour periods where your pup interacts with other dogs in our daycare facility, building confidence and getting the pup used to other dogs by playing with them in our monitored environment. Darwin's Class is open to puppies three to six months old.
